We know what it’s like, the moment one adventure ends, your mind starts to wander to the next one. Lucky for you, Team DA are always a few steps (or pedal strokes) ahead when it comes to planning what’s next.
We asked the Discover Adventure crew and HQ team to share their top picks for 2026 - the trips that make their hearts pound and legs ache (in the best way), and the ones that fill up their camera rolls.
From new treks to cycling routes packed with classic climbs, here’s where our team are heading next year... and why you might want to join them.
We asked the DA HQ team a simple question: “If you could pack your bag for one adventure in 2026, where would you go?” Cue a lot of animated debate and map-pointing. Here’s what made the final cut...
Having recently summited Mount Toubkal, Jess still describes it as one of the toughest and most beautiful challenges she’s ever faced. From the steep, long climbs and thin mountain air to the stunning sight of the Milky Way stretching across the night sky, it’s a trek that tests and rewards in equal measure.
“One of the hardest things I’ve ever done — but also one of the most beautiful. Watching the team push each other to the summit was the ultimate reminder of why we do this. The views, the night skies (hello, Milky Way!), and the magic of Marrakech made it unforgettable. A brutal but brilliant alternative to the big-name climbs.”
If you’re looking for a lesser-known climb that packs some of the challenge of Kilimanjaro into fewer days, with a healthy and heartwarming dose of Moroccan culture on the side, this one’s for you!
Discover Adventure Founder Jonathan Bryan has spent the past couple of weeks on the ground in Japan, exploring our new itinerary. Taking on routes that combine mountain trails with cultural discovery. From the peaceful landscapes to the incredible food, this is a trip that will bring something brand new to the Discover Adventure line-up.
“Trekking here has been brilliant — great food, fantastic routes, and local guides who really bring the place to life. We’ll be including Nikko, a World Heritage temple site that’s absolutely incredible and offers some superb walking too. It’s something completely new for DA, blending culture, history, and adventure in a way we haven’t done for a long time — and it’s going to be special.”
Expect temples, trails, and a taste of Japan that goes far beyond the tourist hotspots.
Fresh from the summit, Sam knows first-hand what it takes to conquer Africa’s highest peak. Her advice? It’s worth every single step.
“Kilimanjaro completely broke me — but in the best possible way! It’s hard to put into words the mix of exhaustion, emotion, and pure pride when you reach that summit. The local crew were incredible, and the whole experience still feels a bit surreal. If you ever get the chance to take it on — do it. You’ll surprise yourself with what you can achieve.”
For anyone chasing that life-defining, "I can’t believe I did that" moment - Kilimanjaro never disappoints!
As a long-time cyclist, Hannah knows a good ride when she sees one... and this one’s got it all: rolling hills, glassy lakes, and the kind of climbs that make your legs ache but your smile wide.
“This trip just ticks every box for me — amazing roads, big climbs, and those views that make the effort completely worth it. From Croatia’s rolling hills to Slovenia’s mountain passes and beautiful Lake Bled, it sounds like cycling heaven. I can already picture the post-ride coffee stops! It’s definitely top of my list for 2026.”
If you love smooth tarmac, dramatic landscapes, and a proper challenge, this route from the Adriatic Coast to the Alps should be at the top of your cycling wish list.
They lead the way up mountains, through jungles, and across deserts... So, when our crew recommends a trip, you know it’s a good one. These are the adventures they can’t stop talking about for 2026 — the ones that capture what Discover Adventure is all about: challenge, camaraderie, and that unbeatable feeling of achievement.
For Heidi, there’s nothing quite like the moment you walk into Petra on foot. After days spent trekking through Jordan’s dramatic desert landscapes, arriving at the ancient city feels nothing short of magical. She’s also quick to point out how welcoming the Jordanian people are.
“There’s nothing like walking into Petra on foot — it’s a real sense of achievement, and it takes your breath away every single time. Jordan is so warm and welcoming, and finishing with a float in the Dead Sea feels like the perfect reward.”
If you want adventure with a side of wonder and history - Petra delivers it all.
Jamie’s no stranger to a good climb, but this one’s got everything a cyclist could ask for: sweeping lake views, smooth Italian roads, and a real sense of pilgrimage. The ride up to Madonna del Ghisallo, the patron saint of cyclists, is a moment that sticks with him every time.
“It’s the perfect mix of scenery, climbs, and great cycling — with the ride up to Madonna del Ghisallo being a real highlight. Add in Italian food, coffee, and sunshine, and you’ve got one unforgettable trip. It’s our last time running it for a while, so don’t miss it!”
If you’ve ever dreamed of an Italian road ride with heart, heritage, and a dash of espresso, this one’s not to be missed — especially before it takes a well-earned pause.
Phil knows this trek inside out — he helped shape it initially for a bespoke group, and it’s remained one of his personal favourites ever since. Far from the crowds of Thailand’s beaches and party towns, this route winds through remote jungle trails and peaceful hill villages, giving a glimpse of a Thailand few travellers ever see.
“This is Thailand, but not as you know it — no crowds, no chaos, just remote villages, rich culture, and incredible jungle trails. It’s off the beaten track and full of heart — a true adventure in every sense.”
If you’re looking for something culturally rich and wonderfully off-grid, this is the trek for you.
And there you have it: a peek at what’s got Team DA buzzing for 2026. These are the adventures we can’t stop daydreaming about... what about you?
